New legislation has been passed that could directly impact you!  If your air conditioner is 10+ years old, it probably contains R-22 as its cooling agent.  According to Title VI of the Clean Air Act, R-22 has been declared an environmental hazard.  It’s linked directly to ozone depletion and global warming.

Your Old Air Conditioner will eventually be OBSOLETE!

25 Million Pound Shortage

That is the amount of Freon R22 that the Environmental Protection Agency has predicted as a shortfall this year. This severe a gap between the needs of homeowners with R22 Freon systems and the amount of Freon R22 that will be produced this year will almost certainly lead to a significant rise in the cost of R22. It has already gone up 400% and it is still rising.
